Louisiana trip in 2004

Over my spring break my sister, my cousin, and I went to Louisiana (primarily to see some schools). It took us 15 hours to get there, but it was something else to drive to another side of the country. The swamps were pretty amazing, but I think I'm glad I only watched them from afar. Since our hotel was walking distance from the French Quarter we spend most of out sight-seeing time in that part of New Orleans. I lived the architecture but the fact that every store pretty much sold the same thing got old quickly. We went to Bourbon St. on Friday night to take in their party scene. I must say I wasn't too impressed, but maybe you need to be drunk to truly appreciate it. I enjoyed being down there (in the warmth) but I wouldn't be too anxious to go back.
