Arlington Heights, IL The Hersey Auto Show is an annual show put on to benefit the Hersey High School Auto Program. This show had a lot of classic cars and tuned imports. I expected a few cars with body kits but show had quite a few surprises. My first surprise was a Nissan 240SX with the LS1 engine from a Pontiac GTO. Another surprise was a little red Integra with a fully built engine putting down over 500 horsepower. I've gotten used to seeing Hondas like that but the bigger surprise was an unassuming Lancer Evolution 9. The white Evo looked mostly stock at first glance, but it had a 2.3 stroker engine tuned by AMS that was putting out well over 600 horses. Another one of my favorites was this 1937 Ford with an LS2 engine. |
